I've tried everything I know including going to the XS website and it seems I can only adjust for windage but not
elevation. The aftermarket ones they sell allow you to screw the ring up or down but not on the one on
my SBL. I'd like to be able to adjust it before the match tomorrow.
But I can't see any way to get it higher or lower.

Any Ideas?
Thanks

Ok, never mind, my eyes are just bad. I used a magnifying glass and some penetrating
oil and can now adjust it.

I'm 52 but feel 80. :ahhhhh:

I have special shooting glasses so I don't embarrass myself too much.
But I do need a magnifier for some things nowadays.
I can read ok without glasses but shooting is different and wearing
those wonky glasses after a few hours takes it's toll.

I did shoot the 45-70 today but the iron sights are just too far off for me
to want to risk 2-3 boxes of factory ammo trying to hit anything.
I was too far off in practice so I need bench time to get the ring sighted
in. Then I'll see about dropping those 200 yard rams.
I was only able to get 6 out of 10 with my 357 mag Rossi.
but that was me not the gun.

Glad you had some fun on the range. Now you'll need to try that 44 out... It's like a mini 45-70 or GG..:tee:

Wow that's pretty old you must have stood on concrete for 12 hours a day longer than I did. :flute:

Yep going to try it out as soon as I can get ammo and no rain.
My wife caught a cold being out all day shooting silhouette.
Can't wait til this damp raw weather stops and we can get broiling heat
and high humidity...... and rain! :vollkommenauf:

I had ordered new Peltor Sound Trap electronic hearing muffs they arrived Thursday of last week.

I popped off the inner covers installed the required AAA battery one per side in each muff then popped the covers back on.

Didn't work so I popped them off again and replaced the batteries popped the covers back on still didn't work.

So finally went with wife to store yesterday I bought brand new batteries.

Came home popped the covers back off replaced with new batteries still didn't work.

Now I'm pissed brand new $90.00 muffs and they don't work...

Popped covers off again put reading glasses on saw that they take 2 batteries per side not just the one I had been installing...

I'm 54 and I feel 40 except for my vision and hearing I feel 80... :vollkommenauf:

Sounds more like your muffs are 80. :flute:

Just take them back to the store for an exchange, most places will do that.
Some places will even pay for your return shipping.
This is why I tend to buy a lot of stuff from Amazon.
If it's broken or doesn't work when it arrives they will take it back
and send you a new one or refund you.

Worth a shot returning it. Might not be the battery might be a loose wire
inside or something.
