Has anyone tried this bullet in the .35 rem?

It's advertised as a spire point pistol bullet. I was thinking of bobbing off the lead tip and having a bullet that would expand faster than the speer 180 flat nose.

I have and it does expand a lot faster than the Speer 180, to the point where it was the least penetrative bullet I've tried in the .35, save the 125-158 grain jacketed pistol bullets. It has deep skiving in the nose and opens up well at 200 yards when launched out of my .35 Remington pistol at 2300 fps. I think it would work fine for lung shots on deer, even at longer ranges, but I might pass on trying to smash a lot of bone at close range. File enough off the tip so it is a bit wider than the meplat on the 150 Remington factory round, down to the jacket. Then you're good to go.

Whether you choose to single load the tube magazine or fill 'er up is your decision.

I understand that Hornady sells a half million of those bullets every year.
