I have had this saw a couple of years but just getting around to putting on a new chain. these saws were made from 58-62 and it used a 7/16 chain that they haven't made in about 30 years. so I converted it to .404 this is one loud saw! and it sounds bad. after it cools off this evening from 90 degrees down to 89 with 100% humidity Tree Vehicle Soil Forest

Definitely built like a tank and well cared for. All metal, no plastic, no nonsense. I bought a little Homelite Super 2 in late 1984. It runs as good today as it did when it was new.

my homelite XL 12 with a bow bar I bought at an auction for 45.00 it runs like new. I wonder if the new saws of today will running in 60 years?

Geez those saws would scare the anti gun liberals due to the lack of safety features.
Yup, bet I bet they would like wearing the chaps as some sort of fashion statement....
