:oops: I loaded up some new loads for my 45/70 cb to day, I'm off tomorrow to test'm out. 300gr hornidy,cci 200 primers,Federal cases, and 54gr h4895 :roll:

I use H4895 for reloading several rifles. You might want to try CCI 250, large rifle magnum primers. They seem to give a little more consistant speeds.

I agree with using CCI 250 primer.

With H4895 you will likely end up having some space in the brass. I put toilet paper to fill the space for more even burn of the powder.
