Well after spending a year away from the woods you can expect that I can barely contain myself from getting back out there. Problem is I have a new 336A that I received before deploying to Iraq and upon return I purchased myself a nice 1894ss :D . Well now I can't seem to make up my mind what I want to take out for our early black bear season :? dang I hate it when I can't make up my mind  The area here at Ft. Drum is very thickly vegitated with few areas allowing for more than a 100yd shot. Most will be well within that range, so what would you choose if you were in my place?

Both, alternate which one you carry each stop you make, that way if disaster strikes you have a spare. My hunting partner slipped in mud and packed the barrel, neither one of us had brought a back up rifle or even a cleaning kit as we were an hour from home and only out for an afternoon. Spoiled the day. So I always take a spare now and the cleaning kit even if close to home. (Sometimes the spare is a 6 shooter).

WellSir, I wouldn't do this for just anybody, but send me that SS and that should solve the problem for you, and give me one more decision I'll have to make (debated about the 336 and the 1895GS for bear on Sat......btw, thank you Sure-Shot for a nicely guided trip....sweet talk your better half and I'll return the favor up to Ashford at either Copper Creek or National)
