Yeah that is a good one, have had it bookmarked for a while. If you are into the potential of the 45 Colt, here is one by Paco that is interesting as well. Keep in mind not all the loads listed are safe for 1894's, he segregates them to 30 to 35,000 CUP, but it is interesting just what the old 45 Colt is capable of doing in a strong action!

I will be using some of that data - I just bought an 1894LTD 16" in 45 Colt.

I think that would be a handy barrel size for a backpacking rig, boat gun, etc. I dearly love my 20" 45 but I sure see a use for one like yours... :D
