Oh boy fellas...……..
for those of you who recognize what your looking at...…...If you are not drooling.....there is no hope for you!
What we have here is a very rare rifle in amazing condition considering it is 98 years old.
This is the elusive Savage model 1920 bolt action rifle produced in 1920.
She is in the vintage 300 savage caliber.
This is the first ever produced commercially offered sporting bolt action rifle.....ever.
It was produced shortly after WW1 .
Many savage collectors rever this as the finest rifle ever produced by Savage.Notice the stock very closely resembles the Savage 99 (another favorite of mine).
This also happens to be the first one I have ever seen in person.I have only ever seen pictures.
This rifle only weighs 5.2 lbs and points amazing.
I will be shooting her today.
This for sure is a once in a lifetime find for me.
I am in search of a Lyman #54 sight if anyone has a lead.
Thanks for looking....I will be posting pic's in a minute
