Hello I recently acquired a marlin rifle and couldn't believe I lived this long without having shot one of these. It's a marlin 39d the question I have is after reviewing all the info I can find my serial number has me baffled it's
73120659
Which at first I thought 73 model but no and the more I looked I can't find any rifle ever of marlin that had serial number started with 73. Could someone please help me identify

It is in fact a 1973 rifle... A very few of Marlin serial numbers for 1973 were marked 73XXXXXX... The rest of the 1973 were marked with 27XXXXXX....
