Hi,
First post here, long time Marlin owner though.
I am trying to help a friend find the manufacture date of a model 94 his grandmother gave him back when we were kids.
It is a saddle ring carbine in 44-40. Round barrel. 1/2 magazine. Ladder site on barrel. Serial # 423xxx. I know it was made after 1906 by the serial number but then I get stuck. Is this a rare model?

The charts I have from the forum don't show the #'s after 1906. I don't know if there are any records of them.

The model number on the tang; does it read, "Model 1894" or "Model 94"?

I can't recall where I got the DOM of 1902 of my Model 1894 (S/N 233xxx). :hmmmm2:
