Hello all from York, Pa. I have owned a few Marlin 22's over the years, but just finally bought an 1895G 45/70 Guide gun this week. Have never owned a lever rifle before, but these things are really cool and I got a heckuva deal on a brand new one.I look forward to learning a bunch from you guys. Thanks, Don

Welcome aboard!!! Way to go by jumping right in with a .45-70. After you get it broke in you can go back and fill in the others with a 30-30, 32spl, 35rem and 444 ::) ;D

Don,

Welcome from Texas! You'll love that Guide Gun.....I've had mine about a year, and though it sure ain't my first .45-70, it is by far the best shooting one I have ever had! Amazing little monster!

Check in on the 45-70 forum for tons of info on your weapon....

Later,

Wade
