Howdy fellow Marlin owners! I bought a new 1894 .44 mag last year to go with my S&W M29 Mountain Gun. Fortunately it likes the same 240 gr handloads as the M29 so I am very happy with it. I've been handloading .44 (and many other calibers) since 1988 but never for a rifle.

With my over-55 eyes I did what I never thought I would do to a lever action: mount a scope. Put DNZ mounts and a Leupold 2-7x on it.

I am looking forward to learning more about Marlins and other wisdom and humor here.

Welcome from The Lone Star State! I have an 1894 in 44 magnum as well. I've been looking into a revolver to go with it as well. When you get a chance post summer pictures.
