Hello all.

I've been reading some of the Marlinowners forums as I researched my latest purchase, a Marlin 1894 in 45 colt. The information here was incredibly valuable. So far I'm happy with my purchase even if it's not a Marlin of old. I do have a couple of those too.

Hello Downbeach,

I do have a sidekick, a 5.5" Ruger New Vaquero in 45 colt. It seems like that revolver and that caliber are meant for each other. The Ruger made me consider 45 colt as an option for a pistol caliber carbine........other than it's getting expensive I've been enjoying my discovery of 45 colt. So far I'm pretty happy with my new production Marlin too.
