I recently acquired my fathers old 39a that I thought was long gone. How it ended up with my brother is beyond me. He is not a gun guy. After leaning in the corner of a closet for the last 30 years it doesn't look too bad. A little surface rust, some scratches and dents in the stock and forearm and a mangled front sight that someone tried to drift with a screwdriver. Now it's time for some TLC. What better place then this forum to find information on this old rimfire? The people here seem friendly and knowledgeable about all things Marlin.

That 39a is an heirloom and a real keeper. Congrats on the acquisition.
