Welcome from Montana! I was born in New York!

If you don't get your firearm answers in this 'introduction' section, try posting it in the General Discussion area. If the moderators think it needs to be moved to another section of this forum for more information... they will do this for you.

I can't help you with any answers to your questions. My Marlin rifles are in different models.

Hello Bill and welcome from Virginia! I know the 80g is a bolt action repeater and im pretty sure was manufactured between 1960 and 1965. The model 40 im not real sure about but anyway ya got a good start to the wonderful world of Marlin collecting if you get the fever. I have mostly Marlin lever actions but I have a model 917vs that has sent a few groundhogs to groundhog heaven and plucked the life from several crows!
