Hi all

Have hunted from Scandinavia to Alaska with classic bolt-actions but now have reached a point where I feel the need of a true lever action/hoghammer - of course a Marlin 1895. Still haven't decided if it shall be a SBL or a GBL - but 45/70 for sure :)

This forum for sure is a great source of knowledge on Marlins

Welcome Steffan. You will find a wealth of information here, and you have exhibited your sterling firearms knowledge by selecting the 45-70. My fathers family immigrated here in 1906 from Goes, Zeeland. Haven't been there yet, but hear that it's pretty muddy!
