Have two new rifles---any prep tips before firing the first rounds?...

We finally got the new 795 and the 925RM in our hands yesterday and will be picking up the Rough Rider tomorrow. And then next Thursday the Mizzus and I are gonna take the day off and do some major blasting at the range. But before we go I'd like to know if there's any thing that I should do (maintenance wise) to either of these NIB rifles before pulling the trigger(s) for the first time? Take an air compressor and blow out the actions and barrels? Spray everything down with dry lube? Take them all completelt apart and grease/oil where neccessary? Run an oiled soft patch down the barrel?

Or just load 'em & shoot 'em for a couple hundred rounds and see what the hell happens?......

Ricky,

I also like to clean at least the Bore,, before shooting a New Gun. I also try to adhere to what the Owner's Manual Recommends as well.

When I got my New 39A,, I'm glad that I broke it down,, and Blew it out with the Air Compressor. It made a lot of difference,, and it removed a lot of left over Machine Remnants,, which made a huge difference in how well the slideing parts operated.

I also like to run a Brush down the Bore,, just to make sure that no loose metal is in there, followed by CLP.

If I have a problem,, I just don't want to look back and tell myself that I should have Cleaned it First,

Joe :)
