Is it possible to put the hammer spring adjustment plate in backwards and the rifle still works well ....part# 39??????

The spring makes a C sorta and the C is facing the barrel. What if the C opening faced away from barrel, would the rifle function well????????

You can't put the plate in backwards. It won't fit.
