I bought a can H4198 today, it came with a label that i never saw before. Did they recently change the label or did i just pay $73 to buy a very old can? To me the design looks like it might come from the 90´s or earlier.

I have several pounds of IMR 4198 that may be approaching 50 years old. Nothing wrong with it.

Great, so its still good to go. Have there been significant changes with the formula or can i use actual data from their website ?

back about 20 years ago in my 444 with a 300gr xtphp the max load was 41gr. now they show it to be 42.5 so it has increased a little with new powder. but look at a book to be sure, don't take my word for it. i have powder from the 50s-60s i still use. as long as it has a nice acetone smell, you are good.

Like OLSKOOL said, as long as it has the acetone smell its still good. If your powder get a acrid smell it is time to fertilize the garden with it. Take care, John.
