Hello H&R experts! Does anyone have one of the 36" toppers? I'm wondering how they handle and balance. I think it woul dbe fun to own one. Also, any of you shoot black powder loads through your H&R?

Thanks!

The only H&R that I have is a Shikari 45-70. I bought it new many years ago and it is probably the best $65 I ever spent.

I have a 36 inch topper. It is a 10 gauge not a 12 however. A bit heavy but well balanced.

I used to have a H&R topper with the 36" barrel. I liked it a lot. But I found my 26" barrel was just as easy to use and shoot and easier to get around with so I sold the 36" barreled one. Go for it and give it a try. I grew up using a 36" barreled 16 ga. Texas Ranger.
