GPS mapping and lake countour ?????????
I currently use a Madgellen 310. It has been very reliable and accurate for me.
I want to upgrade to a unit with mapping and lake contour features. Do I just buy and install these features or is this like a subscription where I have to pay an annual fee to use them?
If you have one that you like I would appreciate your feedback on how well it works.

I once went on a friend of a friends boat a while back and he had a setup from hummingbird

I have a Garmin 60CSx handheld GPS. There is no yearly fee once you buy the maps.
