Well I had a bad chamber caused from a freinds bad reloads, my fault though, I am the one that
used them. Live and Learn I guess.
Anyway; I got a nearly new barrel from Rachethead :)
My smith installed it for me.
However, mine was an RC and the barrel I got is an SC, no big deal though, but I did have to modify the Mag Tube alittle and mount the front Barrel band back alittle farther because of the different front sights.

So off to the range this Sunday to see how she shoots.
Range report to follow.

Can you tell us what the problem was with the reloaded ammo, and how it caused a problem with your rifle please?

Hope the new barrel shoots well for you.

I don't guess you'll be shooting anyone else's re-loads.
What is cast loads for "Sill Wet"?

I think he means cast loads for silhouette shooting.
I was going to put that earlier today, but I knew I would mis-spell it, so decided to let someone else do it.

Well it shoots great :)
However Primers are backing out .020
It has excess head space, about .018 total head space  I checked with my Okey headspace gauges.
I tried my other bolt from my 336A and it was perfect.
I am going to try another locking block to see if that helps, if not
my smith has another bolt he will give me to see if that cures it, if not back to
the smith to have the barrel shoulder set back I guess.
