Okay I got your attention. It's a model 80 clip fed Marlin, came with a peep sight, I'm planning for the 4X Tasco to do the job for what I want. Functions pretty well, got the scope mounted tonight. Supposed to rain here abouts for a day or two so it's wait for sighting in.

Oh yeah, I got $150 in it. ;D

Re: Got a blonde

Swany,

I've got the very same rifle. A model 80C. You'll like the way the gun shoots, and I bet you like the trigger too.

What are you going to do with the peep sight?

Re: Got a blonde

Tom, PM received and the sights on it's way. Had to go to the post office to send some stuff for the wife and I took it with me. Sent it regular mail so maybe three days.

Re: Got a blonde

It has a small problem with the sear, came with it so it'll be until after Numrich sends me a bag of goodies.

Re: Got a blonde

Got my bag of parts from Numrich and it is behaving proper, now I have to find out if it likes the Fed bulk ammo. I hope so but then I do have a few bricks of other stuff to test in it also.

Looked at a real old Rem 514 single shot that might come home also, pre grooved for scope and such just have to work out the price from the pics it appears to be in real good shape. Then if I have to have a scope on it, the tubes of JB Weld will come to play.

Nothing on it to say, but would guess Lyman made it for Marlin.

Re: Got a blonde

Nice day in the mid 60s so out to the backyard range I went, should have taken my camera but the trusty camera phone was there with it's less than admirable photo capabilities.

Tested CCI standard velocity and Federal bulk HPs.

This is more or less just to give me a starting point to see it's stock behavior before I get to tinkering. Trigger is pretty fair, had to adjust the ejector, that was accomplished with a little pressure from my car key.

Re: Got a blonde Update took her to the range.

Ed,

First rifle I ever squirel hunted with back in 1951 was my bother's Marlin 80C. I was 11 years old and to this day it is still one of the most accurate 22s I ever shot. Congrads on the find! It will serve you well! ;D ;D
