Good read....despite the errors and there reference to discontinued features and models.

Great article. I didn't know about the 44 mag carbine with 16" barrel. Also, the faster rate of rifling twist is interesting, because in the 1894 model they use slow 1 in 38 twist (?). Go figure.

Yeah, one of there errors. The 1894CP (discontinued) was a .357 Mag. The .44 Mag was a model 1894P (also discontinued).

I guess the article was written back in 2001. Like everyone noted a few errors but it is always good to find something about these rifles.

Yes was a good read. Wish Marlin would market better. They would still be selling those "discontinued" models.
