What would be a reasonable price to pay for a 1894P, 16 inch ported barrel, in 95% condition? Serial number starts with 0000 and is JM marked.

Thanks

Most I have seen sell are going for 800-1000 bucks in VG condition.

I sold one last year and got around 900 IIRC. Cool gun in the perfect length but the porting really killed it for me.

That is my go to tree stand rifle now.I wear electric earplugs that dampen the sound of the shot so the ports do not bother me.It seems the deer I shot with it had no complaints about loudness either!!:bandit:

Not a fan of ported firearms, they're loud. Unpleasantly loud, as in ear plugs and earmuffs needed. They direct that noise to the shooter and anyone on the firing line. Can you test fire it before buying? They sold on gunbroker.com and gunsamerica for $1000-$1200 a couple years ago.
