About an hour after I parked around back I went out to unload the 4 wheeler and caught this one looking for feed. To my amazement the spike I've been seeing was at the edge of the woods behind the 4 wheeler. I've always been told that if you change up the scenery the deer won't come around, course mine are about half trained.

I was at my neighbors cabin helping with getting ready fo deer season in the UP of Michigan.
We mowed a path through 2 foot tall grass for easier access to the woods. Within an hour the deer were using the mowed path to move from one side of the field to he other. Change of scenery did not deter them whatsoever.

I think they are smart and lazy.

I've found deer to be very curious animals.
Something changes and they want to investigate, warily yes, but they want to know what's going on.
