Hi Guys,
I have a 336CB that I converted to a Pistol Grip configuration. All I am lacking in my project is replacing the gold trigger. I want to install a blued one. Should remove the one from the straight CB trigger plate but...
Before doing so, I was considering removing the gold finish and cold bluing the one on the curved trigger plate.
Is the gold trigger a different material than a regular blued one? It definitely has a different feel to it.
I am guessing it is plated then gilded??
Is it a waste of effort, or can I expect good results?
Has anyone refinished a gold trigger???
I have a Savage 1899 with an Un-Blueable lever. Too much chrome content. This is the reason I am unsure.
Thanks for the info.
