I have an old Glenfield model 30a that I've been wanting to replace the stock on as the old one is beat up pretty bad and the forend is cracked down the middle. I don't really have any interest in slapping a beautiful stock on it since it's pretty much just a workhorse rifle and it will undoubtedly take a beating. Now, as I'm sure all of you are well aware of (and probably get this a lot on here), the Glenfield 30a has the endcap on the forend instead of the typical barrel band type 336's. I have searched Midway USA, Brownells, and all over the place and I cannot find a synthetic forend for the endcap type guns. I was wondering if any of you happened to know of a company who makes them (if any at all) or could suggest any alternatives for a gun that will take a beating.
