I have had an old Glenfield Model 10 single shot .22 for a while. It has a chipmunk carved into the stock near the pistol grip. It has a strange rotating aluminum looking chamber insert that closes off the chamber when the bolt is closed.
I got it out tonight, punched out the bore and was pleasantly suprised to see nice rifling.
Anyone able to tell me anything about these guns? The bolt handle is broken off, thought I might go ahead and pass this one on to my son but wondered if it was worth having a new bolt handle welded on.
I bolted on a new Simmons 22 mag 4x32 scope, the balance of the little rifle seem nice. What do ya'll think?
