Most all of the bullets for the .35 Rem need GSs. Plain based bullets would be useful only for plinking and small game. There have been several group buys of an 180 grain GC RF design that is very suitable. IMO, the useful weight range for the .35 Rem is 180-220 grains, and cast bullets for Marlin rifles in that caliber should be at least .360 diameter. Most nominal .358 moulds will cast that large, but a few won't.
