Well, I've been out with my Skinner winged sight. I want a fire sight for the front. At 30 yards I'm pretty dead on with the stock Marlin sight. At 50 yards I'm about 3" low. My sight measures .280, the closest that I can find in a fire sight is .312. Do you think this is what I need? Will this give me enough room for elevation adjustments for longer shots?

Yes, that will work fine. Raise the rear 1 full revolution and you should be right on.

Hope that helps,

Good!!! Its bullet proof... I had one on a 4570 20" Cowboy Rifle along with a Fiber Optic Front Sight. Its one of my favorite rifles. It would still have the winged sight but I replaced it with an Alaskan for a recent competition shoot. (wanted to show off the Rifle and Sight a bit more and the ALASKAN is beautiful!)
