This follows close to the cosmological arguments (something caused the universe to come into existence), which includes the big bang concept. As the video pointed out, this concept is supported by the Bible: '"Let there be light'" (Genesis 1:3). But, the truth is found by those who want to find it.

I've known that God exists and Jesus is his son sent to mankind to save our souls. But that guy lost me in the the first couple of minutes. My eyes just glazed over.

No worries. We all have different ways of looking at things. I contend that it was a reason for different disciples, each from different walks of life. Since you believe in the Father and Son, there must be a view that works for you, which is all that matters.
