Yep...not one 5.56 table to be found up until now. There's lots of good info shared on the net about the dos/don'ts between .223 Rem & 5.56 X 45 cases to a bunch of hogwash and personal "I thinks". Well here's some ballisticians' work in print that may help those looking for the "boost" in this realm of 22cal.

Ramshot TAC & X-Terminator loads for 5.56 chambers capable of handling 62,500psi rating of MIL SPEC. Boolit wts from 62gr to 90gr...plus a short special section for PALMA match rifles with elongated chambers/throat/leades to accomodate up to 2.545 OAL for the long missles.

Go to http://www.ramshot.com/powders/load.php and click on the Load Guide V4.5, (updated from V4.3, Jan 2011). It's not too big of a pdf and won't take long to save yourself a copy. They've revamped the whole pamphlet and I've found additional data added in quite a few areas. The data for 223/5.56 loads is on Pg 9.

Hope this helps a few others than me in safely torquing a few rounds out of the press on the high/SAFE side...just 'cuz we can! Fastest rounds usually ain't the best in accuracy, but hey...we all need to push the envelope once in a while!

P.S. If someone has already aired this data on MOG and I missed/overlooked it...well Xcuze me and think about a few others that might be interested in looking at this updated data!

Awesome, great stuff, Spoon, thanks for the heads up. I'm going to have to grab some TAC and try that out with the Sierra 77gr.

OOPS! Dumb A. me incorrectly listed the MAX CHAMBER PRESSURE. It should read 62,350, although 150 psi at this level may be moot, I wanted to correct it!

Some of the guys at M14tfl use TAC in the 7.62mm and swear by it... I just don't need another powder on the bench (there isn't any room with the 32lb of IMR4895 already there, etc.)

But...this way you'd get to run at the 5.56 pressures ;D I have 5.56 brass, too, a whole mess of unfired IMI (Israeli) brass, and a ton of LC.

I have been using Tac and Xterminator for many years, most people use them for bullets heavier then 62grs. We have great luck with both in AR-15's in barrel lengths from 14" to 24" and 55gr Hornady FMJ.
Both powders burn clean and are very accurate.

Accurate 2015 for me ;) with both the Speer 55 FMJ and Sierra 53gr Match in LC brass… True 5.56x45mm mil spec. velocities from my 1/9 16” K3B bbl… Ohh, did I say they are accurate also… 8)
