Well it was just last week when I turned down a 1956 Marlin 39A because of the 4 screw holes in the side of the barrel that did not look factory and were rough around the edges. Well today I picked up 1956 39A somewhat the same thing but a much better looking rifle with a Banner scope and nice sling for less money. It does have those 4 screws in the barrel that look a lot more like a factory job to me and they look as though they've never been used. The bluing is fantastic and the wood if very nice with only a couple little dings. Oh yeah it came with 200 rounds of ammo. I'll get out tomorrow and see how she feed my marlinitis.o 56marlin39A 001.JPG 56marlin39A 002.JPG 56marlin39A 003.JPG 56marlin39A 004.JPG 56marlin39A 006.JPG

Good for you. I'm not a scope on a lever gun guy, but one with the barrel scope mount is on my short list. Thanks for sharing it.
