Local shop has one of the wood and blued steel versions for sale. It is in 85% condition with the bag, multi-tool, 2 clips, and a tasco 4x ($10) rimfire scope mounted. It looks like a handy little rifle. They are asking $125 for it. Does that seem like a fair price? Are they decent shooters?

Thanks,
Brian

That seems like a good deal with all the accessories to me. I have the stainless and it cost me ~$210 with tax, no accessories.

The nice part about the blued/wood model is it will shoot without the magazine which makes sense for a survival rifle. The SS model requires* the magazine.

They are fun little carbines. VERY portable which is why mine gets as much use as it does. I have other 22's I like better but none are as handy.

It shoots on par with my 10/22 accuracy. It does have favorite loads. Mine will cycle subsonics *most* of the time.

I don't like the open sights on it so I've scoped mine. Makes it a little more bulky but I think the extra half pound is worth it for the improved accuracy.
