Does anyone know where I can get a complete listing of all the factory chamberings for the 336? I know there are millions of .35 Remington, and 30-30s built but not sure of more rare chamberings.

3 .32 Special

5 .356 Winchester
6 .38-55 Ballard
7 .44 Magnum

41Magnum
410 Shotshell

The .444 and .375 are technically not 336's as they are called the Model 444 and Model 375 respectively, and the 45-70 and 450Marlin are 1895's.
As Parley points out below, all are based on the 336 though.

Those calibers you have listed are for the Model 1894. You missed the .45 Colt, 22 Magnum and the 32 H&R in the Model 1894. You are technically correct on the four cartridges you have listed. However they are in name only. The actions are based on the 336. Parley

Parley, I realized the error of my ways after I posted.
I got called out to a fire and then came home and went to sleep, so I didn't have a chance to correct it till now.
Thanks for noticing.

Thanks for all your responses :!: This is a reat site with good folks.

Were the ackley improved rounds ever from the factory?

I sure would like to see the .307 chambering but unfortunately this one doesn't seem to be catching on nor its .356 bigger brother. Both are improvements over the .30-30 or the .35 Remington but I guess not enough to be commercially successful.

Thanks again :!: ="gmushial"]akihmsa -

Actually Rifleranger is right about the .410 ga. The new model 410 is based on the 336 action.
