I believe I will eventually be reloading for my .357 and .44, but in the mean time, does anybody have suggestions for a reasonably priced and accurate .44 either in mag. or special? I know it's not the cheapest of ammunitions but I will be collecting the spent brass for futrure reloads. Any problems associated with using .44 special, like extra chores cleaning chamber (.38s in .357 chamber). Do .44 mag and .44 special have same case length? Thanks

Google a place called "Ammo seek" It's a web site that searches for the cheapest ammo.Good site but I don't know the exact web address.I had alittle blow back when I shot .44spl. thru my 1894ss with factory 'cowboy' ammo. I didn't clean it after I shot factory Mag .44.I think you are supposed to clean your gun good when switching up. the .44spl is a shorter round.I thought a couple rounds wouldn't matter, but I guess it does.

Ammo will depend on your area and local stores. Internet prices are probly lower, shipping and handling sometimes makes it more expensive. You'll have to look and see what is availabel loaclly. Lots of internet sales available.
That said, if I was going to shoot factory ammo, would probly be Win white box.
