i ran some brass through the expander die with it set too "deep" (more than a quarter inch - more like 3/8"). do i need to run those back through the full legnth resizer die before proceeding?

I would, otherwise your bullet may not seat properly (straight with the case). Accuracy could suffer.

Might not fit but you could try, the mouth of the bullet seater might close it enough to either seat the bullet or even close it enough to the re-size if you want. Should not hurt the brass to do this once but you would not want to over expand every time.

thanks. it won't happen again. first time reloading and i neglected to "set" the expander die. i won't make that mistake again.

We all do it at one time or another. ;D Like I said try to close it a little with the bullet seater die and then FL die and you wont need to run it all the way on either one.
