here is my flintlock me and my good friend Damon just completed. he shaped the wood and did the carving and a whole lot of sanding. I put the aqufortis and stain on the wood and aged the metal. he did a whole lot more work than me! it is an iron mounted 45cal. early Virginia

DANG FINE I have 3 hand made flinters.( I did not make em) a 45 cal PA rifle swamped barrel(colerain) siler lock cherry stock/ a plain 50 and a 62 cal smooth bore.

I am a builder myself. Horribly addictive. ran across an antique workbench that had to come home that is in the den. Wife does not mind. That is a piece of wood that we all would kill for. Congratulations are on the great build. You will have a crowd at the range after two shots.
