It doesn't have to be target grade. The factory trigger is the worst I've ever encountered. It's BS that a 400 $$ rifle is so crappy!!

I don't know of any replacement trigger for the 94-22-M Tubbs- surprising that you got a bad one. The trigger on mine is one of the better factory triggers I've come across. One thing you can check is that the surfaces between the hammer and trigger don't have any burrs. Also check that the hammer spring strut isn't out of place. Look for binding marks on the hammer spring from the stock bolt- sometimes the stock bolt is washered to prevent it's tip from contacting the hammer spring- something to watch for after a re-stocking job....
