The all black stock is kinda boring - so I used some Rustoleum matte gray flexidip on the grip surfaces. Gives it a little more of a tacky feel , better grip. Whatcha think?

Nice. Did you do any prep work or just mask and rattle it on?
Reminds me of the silver twill g10 inlays used on some Kershaws.

Not much prep - removed stock from rifle ,used a gentle degreaser/cleaner on the stock. Then about an hour of taping using painters tape. Then three light coats - 10 minutes in between. Then about 10 mins after final coat - carefully removed the tape. Instructions said to remove the tape while the paint was still a little wet. Let it sit overnight to cure.

I don't know about the "feel" but it sure makes an otherwise dull looking stock look darn nice. Good idea!:tee:

Update - I have taken the rifle out twice for a little plinking , am already getting some wear. However I did not put on 5-6 coats as the can suggested. So I will remask it and put on a few more light and one medium coating. Who knows may follow up with a matte clearcoat on the whole stock for protection. Just thought I would let ya'll know.
