Are you that roll your own putting a crimp on your 35 Remington loads?

If you use it in a tubular magazine, it needs a crimp. I give the 35 a little more than the 30-30 because of the heavier projectile.

I crimp any metallic CF hunting rifle cartridge.

Hey racinjason,

No, you don't need a crimp.......if you are shooting a bolt gun. The purpose of the crimp is to hold the bullet in place. Usually not needed in a bolt gun.

Yes, you do need a crimp.........if you gun has a tube feed magazine as in lever guns. Magazine spring pressure plus recoil will move uncrimped bullets back into the case, causing dangerous increased pressures.
