Just bought my first 39a today.

On the barrel it has in gold lettering "ORIGINAL GOLDEN-39A" and it has a gold trigger.

Is this typical of all 39a's? Is this one unique at all?

Paid $440 NIB for it.

I love the feel of it and the full swing of the lever.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Earlier versions had a blued steel trigger, and much different roll-stamps. There was even a "golden" without the gold trigger for about a year or so. IIRC, the "Original" roll stamp started in the mid to late 70"s....

Your example is typical of recent production for 39-A's- they all get the same treatment.
