I've seen people post pictures of the actual bullets from the red box vs the blue box and there was a difference in the bullets. Whether that means anything or not, I don't know. Hornady just recently changed their 265 gr .430 bullet for the 444 Marlin, so manufacturers make changes from time to time. Someone tried to say that the red box uses a premium bullet vs the blue box, but I don't know if they do or not.

Walmart buys so much ammo from companys that they can afford to design their own packaging to identify a walmart sold only product. I have around 10 boxes of the 170weight Federal marked WM3030B, It used to come in either blue or red in the 170gr, I have both boxes. I don't have any of the 150gr but I think it is a flat point compared to the round nose on the 170gr.

ok thanks..i didnt think they would have their own ammo made..must something they did
just ti identify their own stuff..i didnt think they would mess with something such as ammo.
just wondering if it was the same ammo,i couldnt tell the difference...there is a ton of the 170,seems everyone
buys the 150..at about $4 cheaper than anyone else around, even the 150..
