I know the 336 model is the sucessor to either the 36 or1 936. What are differences and history between all these. If this was discussed before, please provide link. thanks :D

The 1936 and the 36 are basically re-styled model 93's -- no real difference in the action. Comparing side-by-side, the 336 was obviously derived from the 93/36, but improved and somewhat strengthened. The most obvious difference is the bolts. The 336 bolt is round and fully enclosed by the solid receiver (except for the ejection port), while the square bolt of the 93/36 rides exposed in an open slot on the side of the receiver.
