[Badger-Tuff]

Been waiting for some cooler weather to burn some powder and bullets. So, I bought 100 - 300 grn. Rem. HP bullets on a sale table at my local gun shop for $20, loaded them up and here are the results, not to bad.

How many grains of powder for the 3031 & 4098 loadings

Hey Badger - those are some winning groups there. At 100 yards not only would a deer be nervous, the dang deer tick ON the deer would be nervous!

50grs. with the H4198 and 51grs. with IMR 3031. I usually don't like to give this info. out. So, if anybody uses these loads in your rifle make sure your rifle is in good working order and can handle the load.

You are right Sir, a lot of practice and sore shoulders to get groups like that but I can't take all the credit, that Marlin is one fine shooting rifle too.

Yeah, that rifle will be passed on to my Grandson, and she shoots the 405's just as good only a little lower, haha about 8 inches lower at 100 yards with the same zero for the 300 grainers.
