Hello everyone. Well last week I got my Marlin Safety Delete Pins from Beartooth Mercantile. I got the Saddle Ring versions.

http://shop.beartoothmercantile.com/Marlin-Safety-Delete-Pins_c2.htm

I got one for my 1894SS and one for my 30AS. BG was great to work with, and the installations went flawlessly. I really like the looks.

Here are some pics:

Sorry. I don't think those pictures came through right. Try this:

Should I loop a little piece of leather through the rings? Seems like it would keep them from wearing on the finish.

Really? Why doesn't he tell us that? I got one for my 444SS but have never installed it. I was afraid the ring would rattle. Anybody use it in the field to see if it rattles or not? If it works well, I may buy another.

He has told us. I found out here on MO somewhere.
He is working on some Big Loop levers he hopes to have out soon. They look good!

I've hunted with them installed, I have a buck lace strap on it, see pic, and it doesn't rattle. I use it when lifting the rifle up and down from the tree stands. Loop the lifting line through the lever, ring and back around the other side of the stock. Try the one you have first, you will buy another.
I've seen he's come out with followers now also, I gotta get several of those now. Will it never end?

Lookin good 10mm! Nice gun cabinet!
Thanks. It was built by Gasport (NY) Wood Products. They did the kitchen cabinets, library shelves and some other things for our house. I'll post a pic a little later.

Subvet - No there isn't. If you do drill and tap a hole, make sure the thread stud does not go into the receiver or it will bind the action.

I used to carry a saddle ring with a 12 inch piece of leather boot lace looped through it. It did not make noise, but I recommend removing it if hunting something that might hurt you if your rifle lever won't close because of the lace. Hog hunting comes to mind as where I hunt they bust out of the brush real close at times. Working the lever may result in the lace getting between the lever and the stock. I accidentally put myself between an angry momma sow and one of her litter. When she came at me it got interesting. Later I was thinking of modifying a mauser bayonet to fit on my model 36 30-30. LOL Shenandoah

Very nice looking, and a great idea for people that love SRCs (like me).

Now I just need to wait until they are in stock again.
