Just stopped by the local shop today. Two Marlins worthy of mentioning.

1) 336 CS 35 Rem. Serial is 12xxxxx. Looks to be in very good shape, not shot much and not carried or beat up too much. Has bullseye. No CBS. $319

2) 444S 444. Same basic condition as above. Has bulls eye. Didn’t check serial #, but has a CBS. $444.
Glad to pass along the shop name/# in a pm. I would love the 444, but can’t pull the trigger on it right now.

If the 444 has the CBS it is a 444SS model, not a 444S.

What happens when you don't write things down! I KNOW it had 444S on the bbl, and one did not have the CBS... So... Goth them switched. Believe the 444 did not have the CBS. Sorry for the confusion.
