Well, almost got all the loads worked out for the 45/70. Still waiting for someone to find me a 336XLR. Got a semi-week vacation this week with a lot of range time, so I though I’d mount the Burris scope I got for the XLR on my 336C for now and see what I can do.
Last nights news cast reported that a local search dog, that took off on his owner last week, was found. He’ll be ok but it seem’s that he tangled with a few Coyotes. I’ve heard that there are Coyotes here in Jersey, but I’ve never heard of any bad encounters with’em.

That got me thinking of a Coyote load for my 30/30. I never been able to find a decent load for the Speer 110HP & 130SP’s so I’m thinking 150g’s @ 150yds.
Any suggestions ?

I like the 30-30 for yotes. Anchors them DRT. Mine shoots 150 grain bullets best with 33 grains of Varget.

Can't shoot that .30-30 in Jersey -- the houses are spaced every 10 feet, with the highways inbetween  !
