My favorite slow cooked meal is country style ribs. The store I normally shop at for food has specials on them fairly often, so they are a good economical meal.

I usually do them in the Crock Pot. I do them on low for 8 hours and cool them in the fridge. When it’s time to eat, I put them in a pan with bbq sauce on them and heat them for 30 minutes in the oven.

This time, I did it a little different. I put them in a cast iron pot with a lid on it and put them in the oven for 4 hours at 300 F. When they were fork tender, I put them over sauerkraut and finished them in the oven at 350 F for about 45 minutes. The cast iron pot did an excellent job.

I got an Instant Pot recently and tried doing country style ribs in it. Worked well, saved a lot of time to pressure cook them. I was pleasantly surprised.

Sounds tasty. May just have to add ribs to the shopping list.
Thanks for the inspiration.
