Good Afternoon:

Has anyone found a suitable replacement pad for the synthetic stock on an SB2 Handi Rifle?

I recently purchased one in 45-70 and was tempted to buy the Limbsaver #10018. However, I read on other sites that despite the advertisement it does not correctly fit.

All responses welcome and thank you....Andrew

The #10018 is for the old style synthetic H&R/Choate monte carlo stock, there isn't a pre-fit pad for the new style with checkering that I'm aware of, but the Limbsaver #10011 for the Tikka T-3 Lite will work with a change on the bottom screw location, I have one on my 9.3x62 and 35 Whelen Improved Handi-rifles.

I called Limbsaver about mine a few years back. Their recommendation was a grind-to-fit pad. I bought one and installed it myself. Without good equipment my installation job doesn't look just really nice, but it does work well. I gave Limbsaver rep the measurements of the end of the stock over the phone and she sent me the pad that would work the best. Apparently, they make several sizes in the grind-to-fit pad.
